Most veterinary medicine courses require between 5 and 7 years of your life, and it may seem incredibly daunting that by the end of it, you may no longer want to be a Vet anymore.

If you're feeling this pressure, hold it right there!

Becoming a vet isn't your only option if you have a veterinary degree. Dedicating yourself to a veterinary degree and the skills gained during your degree are incredible accomplishments - an asset that every employer will value.

Agricultural inspector

Agricultural inspectors make sure animal welfare and health and safety regulations are followed on farms and in dairies.

Salary: £23k - £50k

Hours: 38 - 40 per week

Zoologists study animals and their behaviour.

Salary: £21k - £48k

Hours: 38 - 40 per week
