Tomas is a 22-year-old international student studying computer science in London. He started using Sort to find out what internships and other opportunities were available to him. We loved his feedback so much that we had to share.

“Sort has allowed me to explore what opportunities are available and to catalogue the ones that I like: it's an empowering experience.

One of the our favourite tools on Sort is the ability to pin your favourite opportunities and job roles to different boards, cataloguing as you discover. As Tomas is going to be applying for graduate schemes next year, he feels that this will be very useful for him.

Tomas told us that Sort makes the stressful task of finding a job or education easier and more enjoyable:

“I love that Sort provides an overall easy to use and aesthetically pleasing experience.

This lets people take charge of their future and move beyond what is present in their environment.”

He was one of the first people to use our new skills tool, which helps users separate the skills into those they have and those they want.

“The skills feature is great, it helps to make clear what you are confident in and what you seek to achieve.

I use this feature to help me create a plan of what I can do and what I want to learn how to do.

Anyone looking to apply for opportunities would find it useful to list their skills and be able to sell themselves more effectively.”

We've also recently re-designed our Sort home dashboard to make navigating the site easier, which Tomas feels has helped him stay on top of what he needs to do to use Sort more effectively.

“The dashboard makes it very clear what the different sections are and how to navigate them so that you're aware of all the resources Sort has available to you.

It's a great way to see what actionable steps you can take to search and apply to new opportunities.”

Tomas tells us that the new content sections on our Job Type Page do a great job at giving you an overview of any career.

“This will be impactful at 'busting' myths that some jobs have about their requirements or salary prospects.

Sort provides you with the essential information you need to make an objective choice on opportunities through job posts, articles, etc.

This especially empowers people who would normally not receive enough quality career advice.

These updates make Sort an incredibly useful tool for anyone's career.

As the job market evolves at an increasingly fast pace, Sort allows you to keep up with what options are available to you so that, as a user, you can have a happier and prosperous career.”

Thank you again to Tomas for all of his wonderful, positive feedback.
