Throughout your Degree Apprenticeship with Consalia & Middlesex University, you will be encouraged to research key issues for Nokia and produce academic work which will influence the decisions of our business.
The Customer Experience organization provides a common interface to customers including account and relationship management, acting as the voice of the customer internally and creating demand across our business groups. While bringing deep understanding of local markets for our customer, the CX organization ensures strong alignment between sales and delivery teams.
The CX team in the UK&I is one of the largest in Europe. It includes a broad range of customers from BT, 3, Virgin Media, and Sky to FTTH providers like Cityfibre and Hyperoptic. We also manage European regional operations for global B2B Players like Lumen and Verizon and address the emerging Tower Co market like Cellnex and Freshwave. Within our CX organisation also sits Enterprise UK&I where an exponential growth opportunity exists to work with Partners and Channels using our Sell-through model, which includes not only our largest carrier customers outlined above, but also Global Systems Integrators, Distribution, and boutique VAR Resellers. Importantly, the Enterprise channel also works directly with the largest brands in the UK across all segments, such as Transportation, Energy & Utilities, Government & Defence. Very exciting for an ambitious candidate with a hunger for developing a successful sales career within Nokia.
UKI continues to grow, winning new business and new customers every year. We are the front line of recent customer acquisitions in our region. We aim to be the #1 solution provider by market share to our target market.
What you will learn and contribute to

We are looking for a confident, energetic individual looking for a career in sales, a can-do attitude & team player, and willingness to learn, that will support customer teams responsible for selling. The role we are recruiting for is for multiple Sales Executives on our Nokia Early Careers Program.
The successful candidate it not only offers an exciting opportunity to learn & excel. You will have the opportunity to:
- Be exposed to the full sales life cycle, engage with different customer teams and sales support functions, and establish their role in helping our customers navigate advancing technology.
- Support assigned customer team in achieving business financial objectives in respective customer accounts.
- Learn to cultivate sales relationships for strategic accounts / within broad product or business areas and work sales strategies and practices to achieve order and revenue targets and service goals for the customer accounts.
- Partner with sales engineers to understand customer challenges and requirements, then drive orders by collaborating on innovative solutions and product development in support of operator needs. It also provides a chance to work in a dynamic, highly functional, and successful sales team with a broad range of skills and knowledge spanning the entire Nokia portfolio and addressing the full spectrum of the telecoms market.
Starting date: 4th of September 2023.
Assessment Day: 28th of March 2023.
Your skills and experience

You will have:
- Sales experience would be advantageous but not essential, along with a desire to embark on a sales career in IT Tech Sales.
- (no more than 2 years B2B Sales experience, as per a requirement of Consalia Sales Business School).
- An interest in communications technology.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Commercial acumen.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
- Confidence, Can-Do attitude & willingness to learn, as you will be part of a 3-year Degree Apprenticeship programme which is vigorous but has been proven to significantly develop junior sales talent.
- A natural entrepreneurial spirit and unwavering determination to succeed.
- Education: Minimum 2 A Levels at D Grade or equivalent (i.e., BTEC, or NVQ Level 3) – STEM would be beneficial.
The role is in the Reading Area as a hybrid worker, working 2-3 days a week from the office.
Students will be required to attend Middlesex University, Hendon Campus, for workshops. There are around 8 – 12 full days at university per year (depending on the year of study).
You will be a student at Middlesex University, on the B2B Sales Degree Apprenticeship, delivered in partnership with Consalia Sales Business School. You will earn a Level 6 B2B Sales Professional Apprenticeship qualification and earn a BSc (Hons) Professional Practice in Business-to-Business Sales Degree from Middlesex University.
The average student in the UK leaves Uni with £50k of debt. Why not come and earn while you learn? In three years, you will be a graduate, have 3 years B2B sales experience, and be poised to progress within one of the world’s most exciting technology companies.
