Course description
Having an attractive, user-friendly website is essential in modern day business but that is only the start. It is easy for websites to be overlooked on search engines due to low rankings and the amount of competition.
Overview
Having an attractive, user-friendly website is essential in modern day business. However, having a great looking website is only the start. With so much competition on the internet, it is easy for websites to be overlooked on search engines due to low rankings.
With over 3.5 billion Google searches per day globally, it is the go-to search engine platform for finding out information about anything and everything. Therefore, it is important for businesses to prioritise the optimisation of their website so that it appears at the top of search engine results, such as Google’s, ensuring that potential customers can easily find and access their website.
Businesses trying to attract customers without a website will find it a difficult task. Even those businesses which do have a website can lose out on customers due to critical errors they make. They neglect to include key information, such as what their business does, where it is located, when is it open, and what products are available.
These poor website experiences are likely to result in customers spending money at a competitor’s website. This not only results in the lost of potential customers, but it can damage a business’s reputation too.
Here at Virtual College, we recognise the importance of a business website, which is why we have created eight bitesize modules that will help you develop those skills needed to create a successful website.
