What attracted me to Sort Your Future was that it was virtual and it provided an opportunity to complete tasks that a lawyer would actually do at work. This meant that it was really accessible at a time when in-person work experience was hard to find due to the pandemic but also very insightful into what the job of a lawyer is actually like.

It helped me solidify my choice of wanting to become a solicitor because I had experience of doing solicitor-like tasks and I enjoyed them. This gave me confidence that should I enter the profession, I would enjoy my job

It was an experience that I included in all my applications and helped me to show employers that I had gained skills such as communication and research through this work experience.

In year 12 we had to do some form of work experience. I had already had a few jobs in the past, alongside it being the pandemic, I thought virtual work experience would be fun to try something new. I found the Sort Your Future website and there were loads of different courses. Now although I knew I wanted to do business, I wasn't sure what department was for me. I then came across the Marketing course and thought it would be good to try it out.

My experience with Sort Your Future was great. There were loads of great, detailed information around marketing and many different activities to get us stuck in. What stood out to me was the live Webinars from industry professionals and I found this really engaging. It gave me a real taste of the different pathways business could lead me to. This affected my Career Direction because it showed me all the different places business can take you and that there are endless exciting opportunities.

I attended a media school called the Global Academy at the age of 14 with the intention of becoming a movie director. With the guidance of the school my interest changed and I was very skilled with photoshop and illustrator and in general my skills leaned towards a digital career.

The school sent me the information for Sort Your Future and suggested I complete the graphic design course. It sounded great as I could apply the course to my CV as experience as well. I enjoyed the course very much and loved the modules.

They also spoke about clients and processes which graphic designers should follow and this was very beneficial to me as I was freelancing graphic design work at the time with clients.
